Alder is known as a "light hardwood" which puts out less heat than heavier hardwoods but is perfect for smaller rooms, BBQ's smokers, outdoor chimneys, or autumn burning. Our crates of kiln-dried Alder logs are incredible value for money. By packing our kiln-dried firewood logs tightly into these crates it is possible to get 50% more wood than the same volume you get in loose or bulk bagged loads. If you are searching for logs for an outdoor chimney burning or heating a small room, make sure the firewood you buy has been properly dried. Our kiln-dried Alder logs are dried to below 20% moisture content. This optimum moisture content gives you a much cleaner, consistent burn with little smoke.
